I was born and reared in Hapeville, GA – home of Chick-fil-A and the Atlanta airport. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Accounting, where I met my future husband, Don. We got married and lived in Memphis, Atlanta and Tallahassee where I worked in the banking industry. We came to Boone so that Don could teach at Appalachian State University. We are proud of our two children, Karen and William, both of whom are successful graduates of our excellent local public schools. My career took a different turn once we moved to western North Carolina. After a stint as a stay-at-home mom and active volunteer, I utilized my organizational and communication skills as the Executive Director of the High Country United Way for three years. This experience provided the opportunity to interact with many people in the community, and proved to be an excellent springboard into my real estate career. I have enjoyed working with the professional agents of Coldwell Banker Blair and Associates since I began my real estate career in the late 1990’s. Since that time, it has been my pleasure to meet and work with local community members, ASU faculty and staff, vacation homeowners, real estate investors, and college students and their parents with their selling and buying needs. Both sellers and buyers can benefit from my experience with varied real estate transactions and changeable market conditions, and rely on my professionalism in every relationship. In 2009, I was privileged to serve as the President of the High Country Association of REALTORS®, representing REALTORS® from Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties at the state and national level.
